AT7603_Remote Sensing

AT7603_Remote Sensing

AT76.03 Remote Sensing 3 (2-3)

Semester: January/August
Course Objective : The objective of this course aims at providing the knowledge and understanding of the principles of Remote Sensing (RS) technology, the tool to obtain information on the earth from deci-meter level to km level locally and globally. The difference type of earth observation will be studied as well as basic RS image processing techniques and image classification
Learning Outcomes :
The students on the completion of this course would be able to:
1. Compare difference type of remote sensing and apply the principle of remote sensing measuring the essence of phenomena
2. Evaluate difference Earth Observation Satellite (EOS) data and select appropriate data under the limited observation condition (wavelength, spatial and time resolution).
3. Apply principle of digital image processing for enhancing the remote sensing and analysis
4. Apply the essential remote sensing data technique including geometric correction and atmospheric correction for correcting the observation distortion
5. Conduct the remote sensing image classification map by using the unsupervised andsupervised classification
6. Conduct scientific remote sensing research
